I'm Lindsay, a Professional Generalist

With a diverse background across various disciplines, I specialize in identifying and implementing efficiencies in business and financial operations.
Throughout my career, I've focused on optimizing processes, roles, and projects to enhance organizational effectiveness. At New Vision Solutions, I apply this experience daily to help small businesses and non-profits address challenges and drive growth.
I also use this depth of expertise to create a comprehensive, and fully custom solution to families in need of family office services.
My experience includes business management, wealth management for high-net-worth families, foundations, and endowments, as well as commodity and currency risk management.

Experience

Operations Manager: $950M AUM RIA

MANAGEMENT
Comprehensive management of daily business operations was performed, including direct oversight of employees, profitability, and vendor relationships. Responsibilities also extended to strategic planning, execution, and collaborating with CPAs on annual financial audits, adapting to fulfill any necessary operational duties.
OPERATIONS
Managed workflows and teams responsible for administrative tasks, administered multiple foundations with grants and fund distribution, and handled ongoing tax preparation and payments for several trusts.
Planned and executed various impactful ad-hoc projects for the business, including custodial changeovers, 401K plan setup, new website development, and a new building search.
CLIENTS
Comprehensive client relationship management was maintained, including overseeing all client interactions, especially those in the $10M+ category, to ensure their needs were met. This involved coordinating with CPAs on tax matters, assisting with payments, and managing cash levels. Trained account onboarding, participated in client meetings, performed ad-hoc financial and complex estate planning, and rebuilt internal records to standardize client files.
PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT
Ensured adequate cash levels for clients and performed ad-hoc analysis on proposed and current core positions.
COMPLIANCE
Centralized regulatory compliance, audited the previous program and established a new infrastructure. Handled monthly tasks and timely filings, continuously evolved procedures. Was responsible for fairly allocating trades and standardizing tasks and projects for easier training and duplication.
HR
Coordinated all aspects of employee lifecycle management, from recruiting and onboarding to training and offboarding. It also included managing employee compensation and benefits, including payroll, and ensuring annual compliance with reporting entities.


Risk Management Consultant: Commodities | Hedging

CONSULTING
Consulted with grain elevators across OH, MI, IN, and Ontario to hedge commodity risk. Maintained accurate records of customer-specific basis positions and tracked currency exposure in USD and CAD, while advising on spreads and cash market opportunities.
MARKET ANALYSIS & EDUCATION
Actively learned and analyzed commodity markets, delivering market outlook presentations. Developed and delivered education and training to farmers, commercials, and end-users on the foundations of risk management, both in-person and online.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Built and implemented new products and services to meet client needs, including concise market information and delivery, streamlined reporting, and personalized strategy meetings.
OPERATIONS & SUPPORT
Assisted in office operations, including hiring, onboarding, training, and retention of staff and interns. Daily operations included over 30 core customers, 100+ inbound phone calls, and 200+ inbound emails, all of which were time-sensitive.
